Walk on the remains of a prehistoric sea, as you tread on the Salt Plains. Unique in Canada as the only salt flats in the entire country, they are also interesting because other salt flats are usually found in deserts. Try a few crystals from the naturally-occurring salt mounds or see if you can figure out which animals have left their tracks in the clay! While you enjoy a barefoot pedicure strolling in the clay, an interpreter will share the science, and history of humans at the Salt Plains.
