Fort Smith Skating Carnival!

The greatest show on ice! At least in Fort Smith! You won't want to miss this ice show which will tell the story of the Disney film Moana while demonstrating the skills of local skaters!

Where: Fort Smith Centennial Arena

When: Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm

More details will be shared closer to the performance date.




Wood Buffalo Frolics

A four-day carnival celebrating spring’s impending arrival. Events include dog-team racing, snowmobile racing, a talent show, northern games and competitions, the Mad Trapper’s old time dance, and activities for children. Keep an eye out for the Muffaloose mascot, who just might make an appearance.

Wellness Wednesdays

We all need a little more self care in our lives. Come and learn more about health and wellness in a fun, informal way, working with support from Fort Smith Health and Social Services.

Thebacha and Wood Buffalo Dark Sky Festival


The annual Dark Sky Festival is a celebration of the return of dark skies to our northern latitude (60°N) and is hosted in the world's largest Dark Sky Preserve, Wood Buffalo National Park.

At the Dark Sky Festival we do not just look at stars, we try to answer your questions about science through fun and interactive activities.  For kids there is the Circus of Science and the Science Academy events.
