The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) is excited to announce that they are supporting youth leadership in NWT water stewardship with the continuation of the NWT Youth Water Stewardship and Mentorship Grant Program.
The 2019-20 NWT Youth Water Stewardship and Mentorship Grant Program provides funding to support youth in leading community projects that support the goals and vision of Northern Voices, Northern Waters: NWT Water Stewardship Strategy https://www.enr.gov.nt.ca/sites/enr/files/strategies/nwt_water_stewardship_strategy.pdf (the Water Strategy).
This program provides mentorship opportunities and small project grants to NWT youth between 18 and 30 years of age (maximum $5,000 per applicant). The goal of the program is to provide young people with the opportunity and resources to further build their skills and leadership in water stewardship.
