The Town of Fort Smith provides community members with many municipal services. From water and sewer to roads, signs, and sidewalks the Municipal Services Department works hard to maintain infrastructure across our entire network. The Town of Fort Smith gets drinking water from the Slave River and power from the Talston Hydro station. A Solid Waste Facility, approximately 9 kilometers west of Fort Smith on Highway 5 processes garbage, metal, and other waste products.
